Good work out but.. : I'm a bit of a fitness fanatic and love high energy, high impact cardio exercises. I do a couple of DVD's before work in the morning as well as my normal gym routine in the evenings so I do do a lot, and I know how far I can push my body. I like the way this DVD has a lot of cardio but I found it so repetative with the moves. The instructor is the most god damn awful person ever, and I think he should win the award for the biggest Kn*bhead on this earth. This workout makes me more stressed out ! - I dont think he understands how to put a routine together as most of it is just skipping or jogging on the spot. The most irritating thing for me is the pressure the exercise puts on the knees, without any warning or alternative exercises if you have bad knees. In the end, I want to smack the instructor in the mouth. Its a shame really, because I like Nell McAndrew, I just wish it was her instructing the DVD. Other than that, I prefer this DVD to the ultimate challenge, where the instructor really annoys me !
1 : This is an excellent fitness DVD compared with others I've seen. Sure it makes you work hard but isn't that what it is supposed to do? I have bought the other 2 dvd's on the strength of this and look forward to using them. You really feel like you've worked out afterwards.
Delighted : I am normally a fan of Davina, but thought I would try something different and I was really pleased. It was absolutely exhausting even in the warm up and really fast paced. However, the guy taking the class really motivates and speaks the whole time, so you don't need to continually look at the screen to follow. I was completely drenched by the end and everything was burning, but felt brilliant. If anyone like me does not like to go to the gym, then this is a fantastic alternative.
Basic but great at blasting off fat and toning up : This was the first DVD of Nell McAndrew's I bought. I'd just had my baby and weighed in at 18 stone and was in a hurry to lose the weight, this DVD did not disappoint me and although it is slightly repetitive it did the job in six months (along with healthy eating and doing DVD 4 times a week, baby slept loads!) I lost six stone in all in as many months. Sweat, sweat! I bought Nell's other DVD which was the ultimate challenge as I liked the no frills, no nonsense coach's attitude, but felt it really dragged on and although there were "bail out" sections, just seemed slightly long and similar in movement anyway, love the arm tone up sections of Maximum Impact and the boxing, and it feels like just the right length of time, would recommend this to anyone, Nell is really fit too, way stronger than she looks!
Hard work but you can definately feel it :-) : I've only been doing it for a week or so and I have a very low level of fitness, I could only manage the warm up & interval training and can now do the whole thing. It is very repetative but I ache all over and have never sweated so much in my life - a great workout even for beginners.
